Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: September 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Blurtable, a DBA of The Content Collaborator, LLC ("Blurtable," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit blurtable.com or use our talk-to-print book creation services (collectively, the "Services"). Blurtable currently offers the Services only in the United States.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Account and contact information: name, email address, account identifiers, login and authentication information, and communications preferences.
  • Book and creative content: stories, notes, recipes, captions, book titles, chapter information, photos, images, voice recordings, video files, transcripts, QR-linked memories, edits, layouts, and other content you choose to provide.
  • Order and fulfillment information: book selections, quantities, order status, recipient name, shipping address, telephone number, shipping method, and transaction identifiers. Payment-card information is collected and processed by Stripe; Blurtable does not receive your complete card number.
  • Support and collaboration information: support requests, feedback, screenshots, survey responses, and the names or email addresses of people you invite to collaborate.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, interactions with the Services, cookie or similar identifiers, and diagnostic or security information.
  • Information from connected or third-party services: information needed to provide a feature you request or information supplied by service providers in connection with authentication, payments, email delivery, printing, shipping, analytics, and site performance.

We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from service providers that help us operate the Services.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • create, organize, edit, store, preview, share, print, and deliver your books;
  • provide account access, authentication, collaboration, customer support, and requested communications;
  • process payments, prevent duplicate or fraudulent transactions, and fulfill print orders;
  • use automated and artificial-intelligence tools to transcribe, organize, analyze, format, or generate content and layouts at your direction;
  • send service, onboarding, order, and support messages and, where permitted, promotional messages that include an unsubscribe option;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the Services; and
  • comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, safety, and property of Blurtable, our users, and others.

3. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described above:

  • Platform, hosting, storage, and AI providers, including Base44 and providers used through its platform, to host the Services, authenticate users, store content, and provide automated content-processing features.
  • Payment and fulfillment providers, including Stripe for payment processing and Lulu for book production and shipping. Lulu receives the book files, recipient name, shipping address, telephone number, shipping method, and related order details needed to manufacture and deliver a book. Lulu processes that information under its own privacy notice and security practices. Blurtable does not authorize Lulu to use customer information for unrelated purposes.
  • Communications providers, including Resend, to deliver onboarding, service, order, and support communications.
  • Analytics and advertising providers. We use Meta Pixel and site-performance tools. Meta may receive device, cookie, usage, and interaction information and may use it according to its own privacy policy. This type of disclosure may be considered "sharing" for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising under some U.S. state privacy laws.
  • People you choose to involve, such as invited collaborators, recipients of links you share, or visitors to content you intentionally make publicly accessible.
  • Legal and business recipients, when required by law, needed to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information. We disclose personal information to vendors only as reasonably necessary for them to provide services to Blurtable or as otherwise described in this Policy. We do not disclose your private book content to advertisers for their own advertising purposes.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Choices

We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, although parts of the Services may not function properly. You may also email us to request that we opt you out of disclosures used for targeted advertising. We do not currently respond to ordinary browser "Do Not Track" signals.

5. Artificial Intelligence

Blurtable uses automated and AI-powered tools to help transform your submitted words, recordings, photos, and instructions into book content and layouts. Information submitted to these features may be processed by Base44 and its AI service providers to return the requested output. Please do not submit information you do not have permission to use. AI-generated output may contain errors, so you should review it before printing or sharing.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information and creative content while your account or project remains active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services. We retain transaction, fulfillment, support, security, and legal records as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, why it was collected, and applicable obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it. Copies may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is required by law.

7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; receive a portable copy; limit or object to certain processing; or opt out of disclosures used for targeted advertising. You may also unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message.

To submit a request, email tglochau@comcast.net. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. You may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision email and asking us to reconsider it.

8. Children's Privacy

Blurtable is a general-audience service designed for individuals and families, not a service directed primarily to children under 13. Children may participate in family book projects with a parent or guardian's permission and supervision. A child under 13 must not create an account or submit personal information directly. The parent or guardian must create and manage the account, decide what information to provide, and supervise the child's use.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that this has occurred, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information. A parent or guardian may contact us to review, correct, or delete a child's information, withdraw consent, or stop further collection or use. We may verify the requester's identity and relationship to the child before acting. We do not require a child to provide more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in a parent-managed project.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your password and notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access.

10. Public Sharing and Collaborators

The Services may let you invite collaborators or share memories through links or QR codes. People with access may be able to view the information you share. Review your sharing settings and only share links with intended recipients. Do not upload personal information about another person unless you have permission to do so.

11. United States Service

Blurtable currently offers the Services only in the United States. Personal information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by law.
